What we carry
About our pillows
For years we imported aubusson and petit point pillows from Chinese workshops, where they were produced in volume and at remarkable quality. Many of those workshops have since closed, and the supply has slowed to a trickle. What remains in our collection is becoming harder to replace, which is part of why these pieces are worth holding onto.
Today our pillow program is centered on kilim, ikat-pattern, and other hand-woven designs, sourced from manufacturers in India, Turkey, and China. Kilim pillows are flat-woven from natural fibers, with bold geometry and rich, earthy palettes. Ikat-pattern pieces take their cue from the centuries-old resist-dye tradition, in which yarn is dyed in sections before weaving to produce the feathered edges that define the look.
Across the collection we carry kilim, ikat-pattern, aubusson, petit point, and needlepoint, in palettes that range from earthy and tribal to bright and graphic. Pillows are one of the simplest ways to layer a room, change a season, or finish a project.
