Soner Bilgin, President
Our Story
It started with a suitcase of rugs.
In the early 1980s, Soner Bilgin came to the United States in search of opportunity. He began the way many immigrant entrepreneurs do, on the road, hand-selling rugs door to door, driving across the country and meeting customers in their living rooms. Trust was built one customer at a time, and the business became known as Capa.
That work eventually carried him into the markets and trade shows, where the business grew beyond rugs and into furniture and decorative accessories sourced from Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, and India. In 1982 he planted roots in High Point, North Carolina, the furniture capital of the world, and Capa Home opened its doors.
More than four decades later, Capa is still a family business. Soner serves as President; his wife Martina and son Emre work alongside him. The showroom has grown, but the standard hasn't: handmade pieces, honest prices, and the relationships that come from doing this work in person.
